[A14] Marijuana (v2.1) - Adapted by Turell

Marijuana



Adds the cannabis plant which you can harvest to roll into some nice joints. You need to research and build a table for this. Joints are auto-consumed, it brings the colonists great joy but be aware, it makes them a bit "relaxed". ;)

       
  • activating this mod does not break already existing A12 colonies (tested)

To install:

(Simply extract the contents of the zip file into the RimWorld mods directory.)

Please download v1.1 if you want it to be more balanced, it contained a typo for the growing rate.

Also, if anyone could be so kind and change the texture of the rolled joints to only contain one joint that would be great. Then I could make it stackable just like beer. Sadly jabbamonkey seems to have been inactive for about 2-3 months so I'm not sure how quick he could do this.

Do you need the folder __MACOSX in active mods for this mod to work?

No, just use the folder that gets directly extracted out of the .zip file and paste it into the mods folder and then activate it. It also needs no CCL to work.

When i was showing the game to my friend, the first thing he asked is... can you grow cannabis, hehehe

Smoke for 18 years now, this is cool, i cant imagine myself being on a far off planet without a seed of some good skunk in my stash, would definitely be a game / life changer. :) (perma mod for me)

Mood is only positive. (A bit better than beer)

But it slows the colonists down to around 80% walking speed if they start binging on it. But then again, it has no negative "hung over" effect after drinking.

Maybe make it so my doctors stop feeding downed chickens joints? :/

Probably the easiest way to get in touch with an artist is to go to the modder's slack chat. Most of the modders with art skills are regulars there so you could ask them directly.

Also would be nice if you could add this to the New Mods sticky, it took me two days to even notice this mod exists (also if people start using that thread more reliably it would make maintaining mod lists a hell of a lot easier).

Everything that has more than zero nutritional value will be fed in times of desperation.
Your colonists will also try to feed animals with beer if there is no food left on the map, so it's not a problem with this mod in particular.

It's fairly easy. Just open up Defs -> ThingDefs -> Items_Joint.xml

change:
            <nutrition>0.04</nutrition>

to:
            <nutrition>0</nutrition>
