Wiki translations - can't edit English?

Hey folks,

I was trying to update the launch pad wiki page to note that you don't have to create a stockpile, since it does it for you.

I clicked on the "You can help RimWorld Wiki by *expanding it*" link, but got a page saying it was not editable, because of translations.  I tried following all the translation links, but everything say saying that because English is the source language, I can't translate it.

I ended up going to http://rimworldwiki.com/index.php?title=Launch_pad&redirect=no, (Using the "redirected from Launch pad") link at the top, and editing that, but the English page (http://rimworldwiki.com/Launch_pad/en) isn't showing the change, and I can't figure out how to get it to.

I don't know what's up with this, why it's this hard to update a wiki page, or if I'm just missing something.

Yup, it's because wiki Jin wanna sleep too ^_^
Everyone can edit wiki, registered can translate, but only admins can publish "translated" page changes.
Also you can try to add ?action=edit, e.g http://rimworldwiki.com/Launch_pad?action=edit

I'm having the same issues. Editing a page is possible but the changes for the page don't stick, and it won't let anyone adjust the translated pages so you can't update the /en versions of them. I've been trying to redo the Auto-Turret page for 20 minutes, even got it flagged for rewrite and redirected to new article 'Improvised Turret' but that's not doing a darn thing. We need people to work on the wiki but if we can't actually update old pages it's kind of difficult. It's a really good idea to have translated pages for all of the folks playing the game, but at the moment it's a huge pain to even get the new data in (especially for things like the new turret changes, etc).

If the wiki admins read the forums, could you give us elevated access or adjust permissions on it or something, please?

I am concerned that the wiki is too hard to edit; perhaps we should open it up a bit more? What's the concern - spam bots? Or bad edits? Wikipedia can be edited without a username, and it works out fine.

I have no problem with creating an account to edit it, if it even has that requirement?

My issue (and I think SleepeFox's issue as well) was that just trying to edit the English of any page that has a translation is an exercise in frustration.  Go try it, from the point of view of someone who hasn't used the wiki before.  It's a mass of confusing error messages and dead-ends.
