Has anyone played some good old C&C lately,. Because I opened my old game book( I mean haven't touched it in years, it covered in dust) and saw Command & Conquer Tiberian Dawn ( I feel old ). So poped it in my computer and played some, Some how I sat there for Four hours playing it.  :P
This is Rimworld people, Where cannibals ware pink helmets and nudest decide to go outside when its -59F, And where shit happens. Its anything but fare or balanced, Lady Luck rolls a 1000-sided dice and 80% of that dice says"Death"on it. Your job is keeping your people alive in bad rolls. Good Luck.

Recently bought this. :)
Remembered playing Red Alert and the original C&C back in the day, so when I saw that, I just had to buy it!

Yeah, it's a shame it's not on a disc, I've got a few of the older ones and Generals on Disc and I've been trying to track down a few of the newer ones that I couldn't find in stores, and it was $15, so why not?

They're all apparently updated to a point where they can be run on Win7 without unofficial patches.

I like how this game can result in quotes that would be quite unnerving when said in public, out of context. - Myself

The dubious quotes list is now public. See it here

Nah, Try to avoid the online retailers when I can, Internet being 0.5 MB speeds at best, discs are always preferable, less to download. :)

I think I am a generation ahead of this game and would like to know more. I could just look it up but am too lazy

Before (and well after) Starcraft there was C&C. It's an RTS with an alternative history/sometimes sci fi story.

One vision. One purpose.

For the Technology of Peace.

I have always been a fan of CnC games. My first two games ever were Tiberium Dawn, and Dune 2000(which was done by the same company).

Just because it hasn't been said already, Westwood released Red Alert & Tiberian Sun for free, and you can legally download them. Check 'em out!

There is a mod for RA3 that uses the original RA units.  Cant remember the name but its a lot of fun.

I have an old PC games magazine with a preview for the first C&C in it. It has a screenshot of the terrain in the game, showing trees and a flowing river, with the caption under it saying something to the effect of "This game uses satellite imagery to create almost photo-realistic terrain graphics." And young teenage me looked at that screenshot at the time thinking "This is the greatest thing I've ever seen."

Oh how our perceptions change.
