[A13] AVG Crashes Rimworld

If you use avg then your going to have to disable it to play rimworld. when you have avg activated, whenever you start rimworld you will be greeted with a frozen "..." with all consecutive opening of the game crashing. when i opened avg it made me delete the .exe that opens rimworld for "malicious content".

BTW AVG is a computer security program.

Could you try pressing alt+tab while the game is frozen and see if AVG is asking you about something?

I had this bug too. When I launched A13 for the first time, AVG made some stupid popup about how the file looks malicious. But when I selected to "add to exceptions", it kept popping up, eventually forcing me to crash the computer (couldn't alt-tab or anything).

I uninstalled AVG and everything works fine now ;-)

I've been seeing a few posts concerning AVG and Norton causing problems.  There are topics under the General Discussion regarding this.  I saw one user state they were able to successfully configure AVG to ignore the RimWorld game; possibly setting up an exception, I would think.

This is more of a bug in AVG than RW....

Anyway, hopefully it'll go away when the game is on Steam.
