It's at this point I want there to be a mouse animal... So that when this herd of 14 Elephants come across a wild mouse they scatter in all directions, charging wildly across the landscape.

That boomalope just behind them (and the squirrel and the rhino) are all moving as one. I think it had something to do with a fire. All the animals involved in that 'herd' was sleeping in one of the few places with grass. A fire started and they all got burnt because they would catch fire, wake up, move a couple squares over and go back to sleep and promptly get caught on fire again. Since then they have all been moving together. Been about a month now.

VERY tempted to try and kill the boomalope and see if I can kill them all :P

Having mice that devour your crops and using cats to defend them would be a nice ecological event.
