Games with squad-based real-time combat

Playing Rimworld with Combat Realism made me really hungry for a game that focuses on squad-based real-time combat. As far as I know, there are lots of games like this. The problem is they are mostly old-school fantasy cRPGs with wizards and stuff. The only sci-fi game that comes to my mind is Fallout Tactics. Do you guys know anything else?

The only thing comes to mind is Satellite Reign
which was best played with more stealth focused approach

the combat I found extremely bullet spongey dullness


the only other game that comes to mind is Frozen Synapse which is more of
planning the few seconds of real time sequence

Ooh, I liked Satelite Reign, was a fun one.

I might recommend 'The Red Solstice' which is a tactical squad based top-down shooter. iirc, it can be played mostly in real time with the odd moments where you slow down to issue orders, if you feel it's too fast, it does get hectic at times.
Or 'Running with Rifles' which I guess is kind of Squad based? Top-Down shooter.

Oh the above just reminded me of the Bureau: Xcom declassified
real time (first or third can't remember to be honest) squad based shooter
you issue orders to your team while paused and then blast away

only played it like 2 hours so I don't know if I can really recommend it
But I didn't hate it either, just had other, better games at the time and never came back to it
