[A13.1135] (Tame) animals do not have certain foods preferred or prefer beer

As I cheekily tried posting here I think (tamed) animals could use an adjustment to the food scoring algorithm too, so they don't keep drinking my beer just because it's closer by according to their pathfinding instead of eating perfectly good meals or meats for that matter instead of the 0.08 nutrition beers :P
Then again, if it's intentional because animals are too dumb to make any sort of distinction like that (and now how to wield a bottle opener :P) please close this thread

You're right, they probably should de-prefer beer in the scoring algorithm.

I'm worried about the performance. Currently animals just take the closest edible food which means that herbivorous animals can find food almost instantly if there's grass on the map.

Specific check for joy giving "foods"? if the first thing it finds is not beer itll continue on as normal. Would that be a major impact on performance? or do we need to remove beer from some of the food types?
