My first colony

My first colony was a complete disaster. I had 5 colonists, and had a heat wave during a solar eclipse. (This was before the update that made caves nice and cool.) I had 2 of the colonists die of heat stroke. Later, 2 more died from the plague. The final colonist caught the flu and went into a rage when no one fed him. He went out and pummeled every wild animal he saw until they finally brought him down. Failure as a colony, but success as a Rimworld story. :-)

Other interesting things I've seen:
- A colonist feeding a dead pirate to my injured dog.
- A thrumbo walking into the line of fire when I was fighting pirates. He killed all the pirates, then killed all my colonists.
- A pack of killer rabbits that took out all of my soldiers.
- A lifepod survivor try to leave the map during a cold snap and dying of hypothermia halfway there.

Rimworld. Best game ever.
