cold resistant dandelions

I had a -26°C ( -14.8 °F ) cold snap, all my outdoor crops died but the decorative Dandelions didn't seem to care and happy lived on which looked like a bug.

edit: They eventually died when there was a lot of snow falling, it still felt strange that they survived that log though.

It's because dandelions have dieIfLeafless set to false.

Tynan, should dandelions be destroyed when leafless? Is there any reason why wild plants have dieIfLeafless set to false?

We don't want to have to repopulate the entire grass/dandelion ecosystem after every winter, from the map edges.

Real dandelions don't die in winter, they come back where they were (roughly). This is our poorly simulated version of that.
