Before I report a non existing Bug.

Has anyone else experienced that animals are no longer nuzzling colonists ?

Pretty sure I had a pet nuzzle in 14c, don't think I've seen it happen in 14d yet, but honestly I haven't been watching for it. I will now.

Pretty sure my Cats nuzzled in A14d

I believe that to be nuzzled, the animal must be bounded (have bound) with someone

SpaceDorf

Yeah false alarm.

I started a tribe with 20 random pets and the nuzzling started right away.
I let it run for a while and while you are right pets with bonds seem to prefer bonded pawns to nuzzle
there were also cases where the nuzzled pawns who where not bonded to them.

So thanks for making me test.
All works as intended :)

It seems this was just another way of randy telling me how doomed my last tribe was :)

When even the pets don't want to get attached, because they know you're not going to be around very long...

Yup, but those two Wolves saved my guys more often than not ..

a crop blight in early summer.
we survive
a poison ship in our fields
we survive without roof cheat .. spears and bows
nuclear fallout in late fall
we survive
15 manhunting hogs
we feast
constant bad moods
we survive.
we saved two chased settlers from other tribes
we survived .. even after those stupid asshats died of from infection ..
when randy send us 8 pirates with plaststeel swords and personal shields
we ..
yeah well guess what .. five wounded and down on their luck tribesmen with short bows and clubs ..

the wolves got slaughtered, 4 guys got abducted and the shaman died in a pool of her own blood ..

They tweaked nuzzling rates again. More animals nuzzle, but they nuzzle less often. My fennec fox Perseus nuzzles once in a while in A14d.

SpaceDorf

Well yeah, it was crazy powerful in a13 :)

I love all these small touches in the game, like nuzzling, or colonists praying, cowering in fear when manhunters prowl around outside, or cheering up fellow mates who are bed-ridden with sickness or wounded.

I hope to discover and see more of those! They are what makes this game so special to me.

By the way, I can confirm that animals still nuzzle colonists in v14D, and without being bonded.

From what I recall, the animal was tamed at least up to "Release 2/2", but I am not sure that it matters.

SpaceDorf

No it does not.
The animals in my experiment where all untrained.
