Why no music for me?

First, greetings for Ludeon Studios for making such a enjoyable game with tons of potential. Here's my simple and probably stupid question:

How do I turn in-game music on? In settings, there seems to be only one slider for "sound". I can hear ambient etc. effects, but not the actual soundtrack. I'm playing with the latest version of the Alpha.

The problem is that there isn't any ingame music yet.
As far as I've seen Tynan added something for the alpha 3 build, but unfortunately until then you have to play your own music
