White screen / rain on startup

I'm using the alpha 2 (latest) version of Rimworld and when ever I start a world what looks like a command box appears in the top left, almost the entire screen is white and there is a box that says loading in the middle and the time and notifications are visible on the right hand side of the screen. This doesn't go away and I can't play any of my worlds with it there. I had a colony that was working in this version of Rimworld and both that and all of my old saves are corrupted in this way.

Help please!!!

Flow chart of how to handle this issue:

Start a new colony. If the problem still persists, redownload the entire game, fresh, without any mods. If the problem still persists, then provide the developers with your DXDIAG (Google it if you don't know how to generate a DXDIAG log).

However, if starting a new colony fixes the problem, then there's an issue with your saves. This could happen if you either installed a new mod since you last successfully loaded these saves or if you have removed any mods, no matter how large or small, since your last successful save.

I have the same problem. I attached a picture of what happens to me. I have no mods. I got the game a few days ago.

EDIT: sometimes a thunderstorm or rain storm will start and the screen goes white

AH. That also happens to me sometimes when I accidentally run the game twice at the same time. Sometimes its caused by incompatible Mods.

When it happens, close the game and restart the game.

If you are loading a save file after adding/removing a mod, undo it.

Most of the time creating new game fixes everything.

Sorry guys I forgot about this. The bug was fixed when I uninstalled the blasting charge mod. Sorry for forgetting about you guys.
