So if you would add biomes like a snow/winter biome.

Would the squirrel leave molten snow /water puddles where he walks.
Or would he become a normal squirrel again

I suspect he wouldn't walk at all, and he'd live in a snowbank or a freezer.

in that case would a hunter be able to spot them out by little puffs of steam coming out of the snowbanks.
