Mangled limbs

I'm kind of baffled that gunshots from a pistol, a boar tusk and a knife, for example, are able to cut/shoot an arm/leg. What if each weapon has an Amputation Index Rating ranging from 0 (can't amputate) to 3 (amputates arms/legs)? If a weapon cannot cut off/shot off the limb with its AIR, for example, let's say a shiv can't amputate limbs. Fingers require an AIR of 1 to shoot/cut off. So if a pawn attacks you with a shiv, and it potentially cuts off a finger, it instead Mangles it, which functions exactly like amputations, but can be put back through surgery (reconstruction) with no needs for prosthesis, which means a pawn will be subject to the risks involved with it.

I was thinking of something like this, for instance:

Shiv - AIR 0 (Only mangles limbs)
Pistol, Knife, Machine Pistol - AIR 1 (Cuts/shoots off fingers/toes)
Gladius, Spear, Longsword, Survival Rifle, Assault Rifle - AIR 2 (Cuts/shoots hands/feet)
Sniper Rifle, Pump Shotgun, Charge Lance - AIR 3 (Cuts/shoots legs/arms)

So for example, a Spear might be able to amputate a hand or a feet, but only able to mangle legs/arms. Pistols would only be able to shoot off fingers and toes, but will be able to mangle hands, feet, legs and arms.
