REQUEST: Personal Shield crafting

Could a modder make crafting personal shields possible? I have seen a few mods which include this but usually don't get the numbers right and have a bunch of other stuff that isn't necessary! Perhaps 150 steel 2 components would suffice, perhaps even a small amount of uranium/gold/silver. I would love this feature to be added to the main game as personal shields are very expensive to purchase and rare to be purchased, and when you kill enemies for them they are often deteriorated significantly as a result!
