Sandbags not stacking properly

When stacking sandbags in rows of two or more it makes them into squares instead of filling in the area. Sandbags should fill up an area like steel or plasteel for example. It looks very strange when they are all squares.

well to be fair in the context of this game sandbags are stacked as bullet shields so having an empty place in the middle makes more sense then a flat surface you stand in the open atop of, sandbags used for flooding would be solid squares, sandbags used as a bullet shield.....not so much

I like using multiple layers of sandbags to slow the enemy down.
real armies in the real world stack them deep, they dont build them into little perfect squares.
