QuoteDifferent teams have different color names by randomly shading within the red range (hostile) or blue range (neutral). So you can tell apart two different hostile groups.
from todays changelog, I though it worthwhile to point out that the red range may not be helpful at all to some people.

FWIW, here's two interesting links on the topic as it relates to game development:

Is there an optimum set of colors for 10 players
What is the best way to avoid colorblind issues

I completly agree, there should be some sort of simbole or something to differantiate differante faction

A faction symbol would work. They can be randomly generated from a few stock shapes, until there's time to flesh out the factions and give them flags or the like, and put on one end of the name.

How about something in the options to set colors yourself?

I feel this would be the easiest way as people are colorblind in different ways and setting colors yourself means you can more or less set optimal colors for yourself to differentiate clearly and quickly.

I was thinking a RGB scale so you could customize based on numbers if you know a couple colors that work well for you.
