[A16.1393] [UPDATED] Game Crashes on Launch from Steam on MacOs

The game will crash multiple times while attempting to load from Steam.  Screen goes black and requires a force quit.  Usually after the 3rd attempt the game will launch.

[Update]  After thinking about the way the game looked to be acting on launch, I thought perhaps there may be an issue with the screen resolution/fullscreen setting as noted in other threads.  When I do load the game, I have to manually reset the screen resolution to my native settings and also switch to fullscreen.  Also, please note that I did not experience these issues on my Windows machine.

Before exiting, I took the game out of fullscreen mode and changed the resolution back to what it defaults to at launch.  I then relaunched the game and it started fine 3 times in a row.

Looks like a corrupt install to be honest. It crashes hard with some deep-code failure that I can't access. I'm afraid I have to close it since I really have no "in" here. Make sure your drivers are okay and game files are clean and hardware isn't going bad.
