How to contribute

Hello everyone, I was trying to follow the instructions to contribute to the italian  🇮🇹  translation in the Ludeon server, but I am a little bit confused.
Could someone tell me if the italian translation is updated and has a mantainer or is old and the files should be manually placed in the game directory ?

Is it possible for users to create new repositories for translation, or are you only allowed to translate into existing repositories?
