Living in Australia it gets up to 40*c (104*F) and keeping a room cool is essential. In Rimworld it can often be that the zone you are in reaches similar temperatures.

May I suggest implementing Air Curtains. Never heard of them? Here is a wiki:

Simply put an air curtain helps to seperate temperature differences between rooms or outside.
In Rimworld air curtains would be mounted on a door and would use a constant rate of power. It would not cool a room, but would help to seperate hot from cold.

Perhaps require basic research.
Would cost steel and components.
Maybe 3 power settings of low, medium and high for your desired usage.

Air curtains would be an alternative to building twin-door air locks. This would have an advantage of saving space and a disadvantage by using power.
Air curtains would Be more effective mounted on single doors and less so with double doors.
Rooms will loose less heat or cool when the door outside is opened. This can help when a number of colonists are using the same door to enter and exit.

I'm always surprised how it can be a 36*c day outside and with customers coming in and out all day yet inside remains a comfortable cool temp. By no means 100% temperature separation, but certainly better than nothing.
