Is there a Dead Space mod around here?
It would be neat if a Marker was sent to the rimworld to infect the planet.
Adding things like the Space Nail Gun and Clark's Suit
Infection Event which all corpse turn into Necromorphs.
and moving too close for the marker will cause you to hallucinate and start attacking your members.

(P.s sorry for my terrible english plus i'm new in this forum)  :D :D
For the punishment of escaping my colony.
I hereby declare putting you in a abandon cave full of
rotting corpse and bugs without food or clothes until the upcoming spring.

A Dead Space mod would indeed be very interesting. However, the complication arises when bringing dead pawns back to life. Would it work like the zombie mod? What about variations/types of necromorphs? How would missing body parts on the dead body be accounted for during the transition to necromorphs? These are the hard questions :P

There is a mod where a random escape pod crashes and when you either leave or rescue the survivor eventually the survivor will mutate in to an abomination that will seek out corpses to transform in to other abomination's.

Turning a corpse into a mutated beast, easy. Turning a corpse into a zombie, less easy. If you're making it mutated, then the body doesn't matter, and you can simply code it to remove the body, and spawn a mutated pawn on top.

I was playing with the zombie mod, and then think about dead space, that can be amazing, could be like the ancient ship, or discovered beneath some mountain, and then the signal starts to make everyone insane , then necromorphs *w*

Hmm, you could also use aspects of the Cthulhu mod to represent marker worship.  :o

I will quote specific parts to make the answer less confusing

"Would it work like the zombie mod?"

Yes, but instead of coding the zombies to eat corpses and injured organic pawns, they will attack any organic pawns (i.e: animals and humans) and keep attacking them when they're downed, unconcious or in shock, basically when they're incapacitated until they die

"What about variations/types of necromorphs?"

Given that necromorphs are very complex on their own and have different behaviours and purposes (Take for example the Slasher and the Infector, the Slasher's purpose is just to kill humans, but Infectors focus more on spreading the necromorph infection through dead bodies and, sometimes, living humans) so unless the modders are very skilled coders they could maybe recreate the more complex necromorphs, but a simple one should include the Slasher as a regular necromorph, the Leaper, given that pawns cannot jump, as a fast necromorph

"How would missing body parts on the dead body be accounted for during the transition to necromorphs?"

Given that necromorphs are mutations of human corpses, it would vary between the parts, given that a necromorph is only made when it's exposed to the presence of a Marker or when it is infected by an Infector, it would be rare for a marker to be literally on your side of the map and for an infector (if it is even added) to appear when there isn't a necromorph raid event, but it shouldn't be taken for granted and I think that, (finally...) for example, a corpse without both arms would turn into the slasher variant that grows their blade from the back of their shoulders. and with one missing leg they would become Leapers and with all missing limbs they would not be able to become necromorphs
