I think this bug can be reproduced by planning to load a transport pod with some items and use, transform or destroy some of these.

I add an other screenshot of three muffalos calves born in the same caravan with the same name.

A little bit later, I have now four muffalo calves with the same name "Veal muffalo 2" and 2 iguans that I have just bought in a neutral village both named iguan 1.
