[Mod Request] Portable Storage

This is aside from my backpack suggestion to nandoalts camping stuff mod. I just want a box/barrel of sorts to store harvested crops in that I can use to quickly haul the yields back and forth. At this rate in my current rich fertile map I cant even harvest everything i am growing and have to resort to making multiple roof zones in between there and my storage just so they dont spoil or are destroyed by nature.

Is that portable? Im thinking something along the lines of a basket where I can store crops in so i can haul the basket and take that to the storage room.

Oh i think i understand now what you mean.
A basket where the pawn can store more then 75, and then you can reposition the basket and move the basket with the inventory. No that don't work with skully's storage.

But try Quantum storage, with proper research you can have relay pad, which can teleport stuff from the relay to the main warehouse and back.
With a relay and full charged battery you can even setup a temporary solution, like to loot a siege camp.

Or try industry roller and create belt system to transport stuff from your distant harvest area. But they are vulerable to raiders.

Thats an interesting alternative though I think a farming tool such as a resource basket would be simple and preferable for farming

While it still would be nice having a basket of sorts specifically for crop gathering this seem like the next best thing, ty for the link.

Hrmmmm interesting....i wonder if i could do this, i mean batteries can do it with their charge so why not my storage. However itd he rather weird as they can only haul 75 of a thing but suddenly they can haul multiple stacks...then again i cant carry 100 potatoes...stick em in a barrel and i probably could...ill think on this.

It depend how you see what is one piece.
1 potato vs. 1 iron ore.
Is one piece a predefined size, like 1kg or a volume of 10cm3.
But when you look at the food area, 1 potato got pretty low nutri. that it sounds like more 1 potato is realy just 1 standard potato and not 1kg potatos.
Then you could indeed carry more then 75 potatos from your base strenght if you got a backpack.

But IMO i wouldn't touch this, let basket and barrel stationary.
If you want change something, try to reanimate the old mod "tools for haul"  https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=12282.0.
Or maybe add wheels on your paletts/skips ! :-)

Crates look awesome. The game really miss something to clean up and area like the crops field you just harvested, the battlefield or the mine you want to clear.
But I would really like it has some kind of automation.

Killface is awesome, last dude to try to reboot that mod. I wish he was still on ludeon. Strange nandoalt didnt add backpacks to his camping stuff mod though.

Yep backpacks and/or the the system HCSK mod got would be nice. The terminator could haul around 200 pieces, 130 at the backpack and 75 on the hands. But they don't do this auto. and need user attention.
Thats why i prefer mosttimes haplo's hauling robots, and let them equip appearal that enhance movement (infusion,rimarsenal or glittertech).
