Could you xml the color palette?
I find the blue hard on the eyes against the backdrop

Be careful, this doesn't work on Linux, crashes the game when clicking on Load or Mods.

Didn't work for me either. Even after I changed the About.xml to the correct version.

I can but I'd rather do it right rather than spending time on an intermediate solution. You can change the rgb values in the Mod List Backups settings files but its an individual file per mod. I'll be working on a full rgb color picker dialog very soon so you can edit the colours to choose from in the menu.

I picked the colors without really thinking of it much, but I'll edit the blue in the next update so its easier to read. Blue text is never easy to read, it was a bad choice on my part.

Thank you for notifying others. It does crash on OS X and Linux, I assume its a pathing issue but I haven't had access to a unix machine yet to do tests. I'll try and fix it asap but unfortunately I can't give a time frame. I'm very sorry.

Sorry but I'm not sure I understand about changing the about.xml file to the correct version? Everything in it should be correct afaik. TargetVersion is set to 0.17.0 as there should be no major changes in any future A17 updates that would break compatibility.

Any updates on whether we will get linux support?

Is the mod correctly installed? Sometimes mod distribution packaging confuses the issue so that the game can't find the About.xml

Download from the mod releases page, as it looks a lot like that's a folder installation issue. Here is a link to the About.xml (targetVersion:0.17.0) as it is presented in the master branch.

That path reads:
ModListBackup/ModListBackup/Output/ModListBackup/About/About.xml
And so a zip resulting from downloading the master branch can't just be unzipped to the mods folder.

Here's some shades of blue that seem to work well against the grey in the forum; maybe they'll work as well with the in-game menu background:

royal blue, steel blue, dodger blue, deep sky blue, cornflower blue
