Now that the Sea Ice community challenge is starting to be slowly conquered, does anyone think that a sea ice tribal start would be a winnable scenario?

You don't start with enough wood.  You'd need to research electricity > heaters > battery > Wind/solar.  Until then, you'd be relying solely on campfires to sustain heat.  Add to this the research penalty tribes get.

Additionally, you don't start with enough food.  You'd have to kill off four pawns immediately, and suffer the mood penalty for such.  Explorer starts with 40 fine meals.  Tribal starts with 220 pemmican.

Finally, sea ice extreme was fun, and should be included in the main game, at least as a challenge mode.  "Crashlanded, Tribe, Rich Explorer, Challenges", with a list of playable scenarios. (Example: Challenge - Max cold, permanent cold snap, pawn and location pre-chosen)  I had to go into my save file over and over again to make copies of this file when I died, when I simply could have done this.  However, I would not want to do another sea ice challenge.  Maybe an extreme desert on the equator at max temp?  Tropical forest in a non-mountain with permanent volcanic fallout (food concerns)?  Or maybe even something new.  "Permanent sleeping sickness and gut worms", or "This planet is radiated, causing plants to grow at 1/5 normal speed, and you slowly build up radiation poisoning.  You need to research this new tech and use this new drug to manage your radiation level until you escape the planet or die."
Two tiers of construction jobs.  One for expensive/quality items, and one for walls/floors/etc.

If you modify the tribal scenario to start with electricity researched it might be very possible indeed. At least Ice Sheet Biome is (if you prioritise hunting absolutely everything the first day + have a good deal of luck with drops and/or rather early bulk trader).
