Recently I have been away from Rimworld a little, playing PZ. Unfortunately I was perma-banned from the server, but we'll skip over that bit unless you want the full story ;)

Anyway, I was thinking, we have little to no choice when it comes to clothing! Here are a few of my clothing ideas:

TOPS:
Sweater:
+10C Cold insulation. Made only from wool (Muffalo, Camel etc.) Can be worn, like a jacket, over a shirt.

Sports Jersey:
+5C Cold insulation. Made from cotton, commonly worn by outlanders and small township people. These would replace the regular shirt, as Max Payne has taught us, the bad guy always wears the football shirt :P

Prisoner Top:
+5C Cold insulation. Made from poor materials, this classic black and white striped shirt will make your prisoners much more striking before their execution!

Vest:
+3C Cold insulation. For looking like CJ when you beat the ever-loving crap out of a raider with the end of a rifle :P
BOTTOMS:

Shorts:
Mainly for use in the summer when your colonists begin to get hot. Useful for regulating temperature.

Biker Leathers:
+8C Cold insulation. Gives a small armour boost, as well as looking badass!

ARMOUR: [Disclaimer: British spelling is good :)]

Metal Flak:
Protects slightly better than a regular armoured vest, but heavier and therefore slower to move around in.

Riot Helmet:
Equipped with a visor to shield the eyes and nose from bullets, this gives the protection of Kevlar as well as keeping your head-balls safe

Mining Hat:
Stops 50% of crushing damage, and has a small flashlight attached to illuminate the darkness. Disgusting colour.

Arm Flaks:
Can be worn over a shirt, these give arms an extra layer of protection. Still not proven to stop that bloody sniper...

Shinpads:
Although primarily sporting apparel, these give some protection from bullets to the legs, which reduces incapacitation directly in front of a grenadier :)

OTHER:

Regeneration Suit:
Offers little to no protection from bullets, but any injuries obtained while wearing the suit will be (slowly) healed. Expensive, but worth it

Camo:
Makes hunting much easier. Animals such as bears, thrumbos and elephants have a lower chance of coming to attack you in revenge, as they simply cannot see you :P

Fallout Suit!!!!!!
Toxic Fallout is a gigantic pain. To combat this, have your colonists wear Vault Boy's iconic suit! Made from only the finest hyperweave, only comes in the traditional blue and yellow.

I will also be making a post shortly after this on weapon modifications, as that is something I loved about PZ and I think it could easily be implemented here :) Enjoy your day
Only in RimWorld is the phrase "31 Heavily-Armed Siegers are currently bombing your base" preferable to "50 manhunting squirrels are attacking your colony"

I like the idea of more situational protection gear, like the hard hat (mining helmet) or the riot helmet; My nose has been blown off too many times already...and strangely enough that's the only damage my people ever get to the head...

As for the regeneration suit, are you thinking along the lines of a wetsuit (divers suit)? A suit that wraps tightly around the body and puts pressure on wounds? If so, it would just auto-bandage the wound (which is cool enough by itself, and I wouldn't go much further than that to be honest), assuming the suit itself didn't sustain damage when the wound was inflicted... It would stop the bleeding quicker, but would still require healing after the fact. Could buy the wearer some precious seconds in and after a gunfight or some such.

Point is, with the wounds being explained so specific in the health stats, they're asking for suggestions like this. :-p
