I'm currently 6 years in on a tribal tundra permadeath game (NO MODS). I just built a comms console and got a notification about an exotic trader. But i cannot select the comms console with a pawn. When i opened up the debug menu a warning pops up "Object reference not set to an instance of an object".

I think this just ruined my game since i'm on an ironman mode.

Edit: Here is the save: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bw7FO7SJkUF5R0xLYVNDNFlMQzg/view?usp=sharing

Somehow the pirates ended up without a leader. How could have that happened?
Do you remember anything unusual regarding pirates?
No earlier saves whatsoever?
Have you ever played with mods in A16?
The log file might have some info. Instructions how to find it: https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=513.0
Thread title should be edited to better describe the real issue, Pirate faction without a leader, breaks comms console for example.
Installed a leader. Fixes the console for now. Extract with 7-zip. http://7-zip.org/
Here is the error for search purposes.

Edit: Still something weird going on here. Try listing world pawns, throws error. Save is likely to break again.
Can't figure this one out. Could it be corruption due to low memory? 6-year old 400x400 colony.

Okay, I've added a null check to make sure there are no exceptions thrown when there isn't any leader. But this should never happen though, so it's weird. Did you by any chance modify the savefile?

This debug option was broken in A16. It's already fixed.
