eating iron or chemfuel?

Hello i was thinking about making robot dog mod.
It would be to difficult for me to make a charging station also i would like it to be a simple mod without extra stuff.
In vanilla game beavers eat wood , so i was thinking would it be hard to make it eat iron and/or chemfuel?

there is no easy or hard, beavers are not any special, there is special type of diet, you probably should start by looking at XML defs, probably diets are defined in XML and such mod as hard as reading this post?

Hey thx for the tip.
I will polish up my collie mod ( my gf taking sweet time with textures ) and custom difficulty first.
I guess this robot dog will be my next project when i get to it.
