[Unfinished Mod] Alpha 3(v409) - Cats!

I'm working on removing the intolerable lack of cats in RimWorld!

Version: Alpha 3 v409 compatible

This mod is in a very early version and basically just a prove of concept. I'll have to look into some issues like:

• complete art assets
• different cat races
• cats hunt and eat their prey
• cats are no longer vegetarians...
• cats might search for a nice sleeping place (like a comfy chair)

Right now cats are basically just a better looking squirrel. They don't interact with other animals or your colonist and they are vegetarians. You can however get an ingame event 'a cat has gone mad' - which should be no problem until I add mountain lions. =3

meeoowww. this might just improve the game a bit more. is the mod 409(a3c) compatable irs is it only 408(a3/a3b) compatible?

It should work for both versions. Tested it on the new version for a bit, too.

Wouldn't it be awesome if some vat-grown soldier assassin who can only kill, kill, kill, be a cat lover? Can you imagine a big burly man with multiple scars cooing a cat? Also, xkcd.

I also think that a no visible leg icon would fit the rimworld style better, perhaps either a cat crouching OR a cat from above

Heh just google. Saves space, a picture is worth 1000 words or something.
But it's what cats + rimworld made me think of. Imagine hundreds those things floating around your base *Catsdora's Box*.

During an otherwise normal foggy thunderstorm, a new storyteller event: It's raining cats and dogs! Suddenly they spawn on the map and start adopting colonists. Or muffalos.

I'm currently a bit too busy with other stuff to update this mod but thank you for the feedback!
The legs are an issue and hover cats might be fun. Or Hover Lions... =3
Right now it seems to be very hard to get cats to attack anything. It would be kind of neat if they would occasionally hunt down a squirrel or a boomrat - or snack on the decomposing bodies of our enemies. Alas, probably not in Alpha 3. Maybe in Alpha 4!
