Eating loop

One of my colonists grabbed some muffalo meat, went to a table to eat it, and wouldn't eat it, but the "crunch" sound that's made when someone starts eating was looping over itself several times per second. The issue was later fixed when I drafted him, had him run away, did the same for another colonist who tried to eat it and did the same thing, and my hauler brought it away.

I grabbed a screenshot of how things looked when it occurred. (Keiko is the bugged eater in question)

That's not good. Which version is this? Can you upload a (zipped) savegame where it's about to happen?

I grabbed the screenshot first, then it resolved via a hauler bringing it away before I could save. It was on the version released April 10th, not the most recent one (I didn't yet know there was already another release)

This happened in Alpha 2 as well.  It happens when you have a guy bring food to a spot with food on it.  AKA if 10 berries are already on the table where he sits and he brings 7 more making it a stack of 17, he tries to eat nothing repeatedly over and over because the stack of food he just carried over disappeared into the other stack.

You can easily reconstruct this bug by having berries or potatoes sit on a table, half stacks and then send someone to eat a new stack over the top of those stacks.  His food stacks into the previous stack and he then forever has an eating disorder till you haul the entire stack away.  The game thinks there are 2 stacks there now because of it but there is only one stack and he is trying to eat from a non-existent stack.

Ah, this is this bug:

It was fixed in Alpha3c or d. If you update to 3f you'll get the fix.

See ludeon.com for more info.
