Changing Trader Stock

How do I add Things to Traders without overwriting the whole Trader?

My final goal would be to dynamically add/remove items and change their Price whenever a new Trader incident spawns, incorporating factors like faction, biome and temperature.

So I figure the only real way to do this is detouring the Trader spawn incident (or maybe just TraderStockGenerator?). Any helpful pointers how I could do this (and how I *should*)?

There's a mod called Friendly Overrides, it helps to do exactly that, here's the wiki to it: https://github.com/notfood/RimWorld-MFO/wiki

You should be able to find the mod on the forums, SeedsPlease! uses it, you could download it and check the Override folder for some examples, since it changes the traders.
