Mild "treatment" chance only for drug binges?

Okay, as is established we likely won't get a method to interrupt psychotic breaks (berserker, daze, etc.) besides capturing the colonist, right? I am completely fine with that, because it's mostly believable. Berserk people are beyond talking, dazed people are broken and suffer from some mental state that prohibits reasoning. Even pyromaniacs probably have some unhealthy mental flare-up, I believe it.

But what about drug binges? Something seems a little off when a colonist with chemical interest goes on a binge despite a raid going on or someone bleeding out in the hospital, and all I can do is throw them into prison. Of course there may be trauma, mental baggage or organ farm PTSD involved, and it might lead to a mental state where self-medicating by drug binge is a mental priority.

BUT as drug-binges can also occur to interested/fascinated colonists regardless of joy and mood and last several hours, maybe we should get a try at talking them out of it?

In a Sci-Fi TV series, the other colonists would probably look for the doctor or soldier in an emergency and either scream at them and slap them in the face or try a softer motivational approach until they pull themselves together and perform their duty or withdraw further into their episode and the others give up. What if we could manually send someone over for a little talk, with a somewhat low-ish chance of base success (higher depending on social and maybe relation?) to end the binge and a decent chance to hurt the relation as in "Lumi tried to get between me and my drugs, I NEED THIS", -20, and continue the binge. A social fight also seems likely.

Obviously it shouldn't render binges moot, so I think one unreliable try is fair. Whatcha think?

Yes! Moodlet and all that would be great! Maybe a warden/doc job? Requiring skill in both to make the attempt?
Anyone else felt their heart break when a pawns marriage falls apart?
Doc & Valarie, I shipped it, she flipped it.
