"HIS", "HE", "HIM" should be used there instead of "his", "he" and "him".

AFAIK, since "backstory in game" supporter-created backstories are unique to a single pawn character, and not part of the general pool, they are therefore not required to be gender-neutral.

That is correct. It's kind of inconsistent - some of the supporter backstories are half-gender-neutral'ed - but they're not required to be gender-neutral at the moment, and many of them aren't.
