just a few simple ideas here

LESS touchy mental breaks on colonist
Showers
Sinks
plop able grass
better starting turrets
and able to blast open a THICK rock roof if wanted

Have you ever seen The Shining : movie , novel pretty good idea of these kinda mental breaks

bad soils prevent this early on, mods have touched on this
better starting turrets
makes the game to linear early, though mods have been made.
and able to blast open a THICK rock roof if wanted

already in game it's in the ZONES tab called Add NO ROOF section, or REMOVE NO ROOF section

unfortunatly, the no roof zone only does THIN roofs, NOT thick roofs

massive bummer. ??? Was not aware, this hopefully is easily addressed.

tynan has said that thick roofs will NOT be removable, so no. the only other way is to EDIT the save file changing the thick roofs to thin roofs where you want the thin roof using one of the save editors

Well I suppose there is a reason..I can honestly say that I have not had a problem with this, (if that was not obvious)..but that's not too relevant. Is it hard-coded, or is this something a mod could handle.
