Trapping a visiting convoy to recruit?

So, I haven't tried this, but if I, say, built walls around a visiting trade delegation while they were asleep, waited for them to need rescue due to starvation, and then rescued them, would I get a bunch of positive points for "rescuing" them, and maybe a recruit or two? Or would they be angry at me? Anybody try this?

Yeah, they will break out if i recall correctly.

dburgdorf

They don't starve, or need rescue. They just break the walls down and leave. (As it happens, I tried just what you're proposing the other day just for sh*ts and grins while I was testing mod updates.) ;)

Impassable water, is basicly against these vanila feature that visitors/animals break down walls or dig through mountains.
You can made indeed a 100% raid safe base if you can build this water tiles.
Logical the raider should fillup (break) this water tiles with chunks/soil/sand but the regular game mechanic don't support this.

Wouldn't this create a ton of errors?
Also, it seemed to me that if anyone died (that wasn't killed directly by their own colonists), you got the blame for it. I lost points because a cougar decided to attack them.

Not entirely certain, but i seem to recall reporting this some time ago and get told that it was because of having Hospitality mod installed

It happened to me too but without the mod. Two junkies got OD on my own base, at the same time.
Jeez, I love this game.
