A17 food rot on caravans? <SOLVED>

heya, I have been hoarding/making survival meals for a long time.

finally able to send out a caravan. I give them all the survival meals (which don't spoil while outside if under a roof) and to my surprise, it says that my food rots in 3 days???

so, what am i doing wrong here? can i only send caravans with pemmican or what?

Well, I can't say for sure, but it may be deteriorating non-roofed. I thought I had it figured out, but 3 days is too fast for normal deterioration.

SOLVED

found out that one of the caravan guys was carrying a normal food in his bag. i made him drop it in middle of caravan journey and now there is no rotting anymore as they only carry survival meals
