Tuning Fork
A collection of game tweaks that I enjoy
  • Shelf - vanilla shelf set to no storage options active when initially constructed
  • Allow Rotten - set the behavior of containers to start with the allow rotten setting turned off
  • Cassandra - set population preference to around two to four dozen colonists

Yay! Thank You for this mod :)
It's darn annoying to always have to untick "allow rotten".
What idiot had THAT idea, especially when its a food storage-thingy? (rhetorical question...)

Feature request implemented -- containers now default to have allow rotten set to false when first built.

No issues reported.

There's an issues tracker for presenting and working with things that come up in development, such as suggestions & feature requests, unintended behaviors, planned behaviors for future versions, bug squashing and so on.

Post any related content here or there, as you please.

Eating at a table

For indigestible things that can be eaten at a table, adjusted the search radius for a pawn to look for a table at which to dine.

Does this feature also influence Bills? Because it's really weird that cooking allows rotten items by default...why would they put that option there?

Very useful mod, thank you!

Antaios

FYI, The table search radius patch you've got doesn't actually do anything.

You're using PatchOperationReplace, but the core defs don't actually include chairSearchRadius. The ingestibles inherit the default value for that straight from the code, so it's not in the xml and as such there's nothing to replace.

Antaios' dedicated Configurable Table Diner mod does a much better job of handling the pawns searching for a table to eat at; and grats on your efforts.

So I've removed that part from the Tuning Fork as an unnecessary duplication of effort.
