[A17] Day 20 - still no colony name, no raids, nothing...

Since the update, although I'm unsure if that is what is causing this, I've noticed that my new colony hasn't been given the option to choose a name. Likewise, I've had no raids from any of the other factions, no 'quests' have popped up, nothing. I have my story teller set to Randy, with the difficulty as 'some challenge'.

I did notice A LOT of errors in the log...

Edit: Didn't notice that the save file was larger than what is allowed here; so had to upload it to my FTP

There are a huge number of errors in your log, most (all?) of them like this:

Two power nets on the same cell (161, 222). First transmitters: Heavy power conduit and Heavy power conduit.
Multiple nets on the same cell (162, 0, 222). This is probably a result of an earlier error.


I don't know enough about all the different log errors to know what caused this. Was this a new game started with A17b, or was it a game you loaded in A17b but started and created in A17a? And have you checked that those mods you are using have been updated to A17b?

Also moving this to mod bugs as that seems to be the most likely cause right now (if a vanilla bug is established it will be moved back to bugs).

It was a new game that I started after the update, I typically start new games after updates since I recall it being mentioned once before that trying to continue a game from an older version caused problems.

^ Well that rules out the "A17b doesn't like an A17a save game" possibility. Which is a start. (Continuing vanilla games from previous versions is usually okay when the version number is the same, so A17a, A17b etc, but it isn't always guaranteed. And when any mods are involved that guarantee usually goes out the window. So if you do use mods then, yes, it's usually a good idea to stat a new colony when a new version is released (or just don't update / rollback and finish your existing colony first before updating)).

Have you checked to make sure all those mods are updated for A17b? As that would be the next most likely cause of a bug. It might also help if you posted your mod list (a screenshot should be fine), as if one of your mods is known to cause this sort of problem then someone who sees this thread might be able to point it out from your mod list.

Sure thing, I have attached my current list of mods to the thread and so far as I know they are all up-to-date.

If you need a new log, lemme know, can't attach it to my post =(

Edit:

One more thing; I did try and do a complete reinstall, unsubbing from all mods, reinstalling the game; resubbing to the mods again - but sadly that hasn't fixed the issue.
