Well I ended up cracking it. Rather than using the textures tyn uploaded I just used

Code Select Expand

<texturePath>Things/Building/Linked/Rock_Atlas</texturePath>

Linked to the existing one which looks just fine... Sooo I don't know whether the linked textures are old, or opening a .psd with gimp was the issue or gimps exporting or god knows what!! lol but at any rate, I now have a way to refill mountains when I mine stuff out
