Hi-tech bench and multi analyser bonus speed wrong?

I just noticed, when you put a multi analyser next to a hi-tech bench the total reasearch speed is not what i expected .

It should make 100%+10%=110%. It says 106%

The 6% bonus is probably calculated with the basic bench at 60% speed .
Is this a bug or something normal? ( moove my topic if needed)

Multi analyser need 800 reasearch point, plasteel, gold, and 200w, for me it was pretty heavy investisment at 10%, but now i realise it is only 6%, i will never build it until i need it for drill

In my opinion it could be balanced:
-if you remove or swap the plasteel cost
-Set the power to 50W or so
-Make total bonus to 115%

do people actually make the multi-analyzer for the research speed boost?  The only reason I've ever made this is to unlock the last tier of research.

As a sidenote, one multi-analyzer will provide its bonus to EVERY research bench touching ANY square of the multi-analyzer...even diagonally touching.  In a large enough room, you could EASILY get 8 benches touching it.  In my larger colonies, especially tribes that progress very far, and start working on that lovely 21000 research deep drill, i often use 2 benches in a 7x7 room with a multi-analyzer in the corner touching both of them.

Ya know, I never noticed the multi-analyzer research bonus at all o.o' .  Frankly, the research portion of the game is so short, compared to how long I like to run colonies, that I kind of forget about that bit - lol...
Thanks, belgord!

I usually go for it at some point after smithing/machining, partly because I tend to be a little slow in getting research started; I've had a year-old colony once before I got around to building my research bench.

I also sterile-floor my research room, for the smidge bonus (and more importantly, for the penalty reduction) granted by a clean room.

Limdood

sterile floor is a great "impressiveness" bonus, especially considering the recent reduction in beauty of stone tile floors.  Cleanliness has a large effect on room impressiveness, BUT that only really matters for bedrooms, barracks, hospitals, rec rooms, and dining rooms.  Of those, only rec, dining, and hospitals (and maybe prison barracks, considering prisoner treatment is done there) really feel worth it from a cost vs. benefit standpoint (colony wealth).

That being said, cleanliness does NOT effect mood, except for the fact that extreme low cleanliness gives a mood penalty.  Further, room impressiveness has no effect on workrooms/labs in terms of a room-impressiveness mood boost.  Mood does affect global work speed, but i have NOT noticed that cleanliness does....if you say it does and can provide proof, i'd be very intrigued to see it!

Room cleanliness does affect research speed, though. It has nothing to do with mood or impressiveness or beauty; It has a direct effect on research speed. If you're able, check the info tab on the research bench.

So that's it, i made some tests, cleanliness reduce research speed and made my bench work a 106%.

Why clean has something to do with this? And why it is an hidden stats?

Well, in a highly advanced research faculty, you really want a sterile environment. Whether it's creating new microchips, doing sensitive chemical experiments or dissecting animal corpses, you don't want any unwanted impurities affecting your results.
