Hello all.

first, though this is my first post I've been a massive forum lurker and played the game for over a year with 500+ hours.

But my question is regarding the fact that you when " conquer " an enemy base ( or friendly:) ) you get kicked out of the map after 24 hours, after this you can instantly settle the same world tile and the same map will spawn but the buildings from the old pirate /settler base is gone.

Is it in any way possible to keep these building, I haven't been able to find anything about this on forums or mods!

It would be so nice when you play a more nomadic game and be able to take over a functioning base with floor tiles and everything :)
I know you can in a few days with a good team build the same, buuuuut the immersion would be more complete with the ability to conquer towns, heal, refresh, recruit and restock your horde in the homes of your now dead and defeated enemy's and from there continue your rampage

So anyway, to get rid of the 24 hours' eviction note and keep the prefabs?
Thank you

I thought setting multiple colonies in options, and then setting while your people are still there already does that.

No, because the pirate base isn't a full sized colony map.  If you settle there, the pirate base is erased and a new map is generated.  Theoretically you could still get all the resources by deconstructing everything, reforming caravan and packing everything up (It would be immobile), then settling without moving.

you can settle and keep those buildings if your people are still there.

maybe you are talking about outposts?

Fair enough, i'll admit I haven't extensively tested...i tend to stick with 1 colony.  If you've settled pirate bases successfully, then I am wrong.  Feel free to disregard my last post.

@Tjaaki, I don't think it's currently possible, but I'd love to see that in vanilla or a mod!

Just go to the world map and there should be a "Settle" command when you click at the destroyed faction base.

Hi all..

I can indeed confirm it is possible if you use the "settle " option, you will have to abandon your old settlement or increase the amount of max settlements.. I created a large team with a mod, spawned next to a pirate base and took it over, I did not get the 24 hours leave note.. If you do not abandon your old settlement you will however
