[HELP] Modding the contents of ancient cryptosleep caskets

spent a couple of hours poking round ancient cryptosleep caskets defs and couldnt find anything on how to change their contents

You will not find. These Caskets do not store colonists, they generate them by code. So you will need dll modding, not xml. And not sure, bht it could bring conflicts with another mods which use that command.

Thanks, here I was hoping there would be a nice little xml file telling the game from what classes to take items from. Also I'm guessing my best bet to avoid conflicts is to use either harmony directly or hugslib. Anyway thanks for the help

Depending on what you hope to mod about them, you might have some luck with their PawnKindDefs - there are two in PawnKinds_Spacer, one civilian and one hostile. However, this won't change the logic the game uses to decide whether to spawn civilian or hostile spacers or in what numbers, etc., only some of the properties it gives them when it does spawn them.
