RimDungeon
Welcome to RimDungeon!

RimDungeon is a collection of RimWorld mods focused around a proper dungeon experience. This includes more defensive structures such as traps or turrets and other additions which would help you to create a dungeon of your dreams.

RimDungeon Traps
The RimDungeon Traps focuses on adding new and exciting traps to the game. Those include standard single-use traps, rearmable ones as well as a collection of poisons and gases.

At the current moment, the list of traps includes:

  • Bear Trap for killing beasts both large and small.
  • Caltrop Trap for slowing down enemies.
  • A remotely destructible Column Trap.
  • Gas Trap, which has a different effect depending on loaded gas. Current gases include Rage, Sleep, Enfeeble, Smoke and Anti-Insect.
  • Noose Trap for immobilising animals.
  • Oil Trap which is a small improvised explosive.
  • Poison Trap, with different poisons that can be put inside of it. Current poisons include Rage, Neurotoxin, Sleep and more.
  • Default RimWorld Spike Trap which has been buffed to make it more viable.
  • Spikes Trap designed to pierce through thickest of armours.

You can use any piece of it, as long as you give appropriate credit.

Below is a visual representation of some of the traps currently in the game:
Gas Trap
A gas trap that is designed to be filled with gas-emitting chemicals. Whilst each gas tank is single-use, the trap can be rearmed and reused. When armed, it emits red light warning everyone of danger, making a non-manual spring impossible.

Sleep Poison Trap
A concentrated extract of Valerian. This poison puts the target to sleep immediately. An individual under this substance takes a long time to wear off, but medical treatment can speed up that process.

Rage Poison Trap
A potent chemical extracted from local psychedelic drugs. Whilst under its effect, the target experiences hallucinations, an increase in aggression and confusion. Those effects lead them to attack the nearest creature.

Caltrops
A bundle of spiked stars spread across a tile. Whilst they do almost no damage, the spikes are painful enough so that most creatures thread through them carefully, slowing them down significantly.

Bear Trap
Consisting of two deadly sets of metal teeth, this contraption springs upon any creature that steps into it, severely damaging their ability to move for an extended period. Combined with high damage, this trap can handle every beast on Rim.

Spike Trap
Two spikes under tension, connected to a touch-activated trigger. When the victim disturbs the trigger, the spikes spring forth and strike the victim.

Spikes Trap
Armour-piercing spikes hidden in the ground. When triggered, they thrust into the enemy, causing massive damage. Rearmable but expensive and time-consuming to build. It is unlikely to spring on colonists or animals.

Column Trap
A column rigged to fall upon touch. Whilst useless in most situations, this trap is deadly where an overhead mountain is present. It includes a manual trigger to maximise the number of crushed creatures.
