20 wood + 2 neutroamine + 1 vegetarian nutrition (20 corn, for example)

Only edible by Alphabeavers, increases metabolism by an insane amount so they don't eat a ton of trees.

To motivate players to make this kibble and raise Alphabeavers, butchered Alphabeavers produce Alphabeaver fur, which, similar to chinchilla fur, is worth more, and has better stats.

it would be a very niche item that would
1) be difficult to use (rate of hunger almost means you'd have to make the kibble well in advance then HOPE for an alphabeaver event)
2) be a challenge to implement (you'd have to add a new category of food, then add it to the alphabeaver edible foods only, then set up its priority so it is more desirable than trees so they actually eat it, then somehow keep alphabeavers from eating ONLY that (unless that was your goal, in which case i'd argue the expense would be VERY hard to justify unless alphabeaver fur became on par with or better than thrumbofur).  All in all, it would be a difficult balancing act in the coding)
3) Be all but useless to most colonies/players.  There are a rather tiny number of extreme niche items in the game, and most exist for lore or completeness of game reasons (psychic animal pulsers come to mind, and even they would likely see far more use)

Alphabeavers could certainly be adjusted to make viable pets (or at least POSSIBLE pets...right now they starve themselves into miscarriages every time they go to sleep), but i think the solution is an adjustment to the animal itself.  Most likely if/when animal features/behaviors ever get fleshed out or individualized more
