Map Size

I keep seeing "I play on the largest MAP SIZE." all over the board.

What are they talking about?   World Coverage 30%, 50%???

When selecting landing site click on advanced. Here you can choose you map size for colony.  Largest (unmodded) is 400*400. default is I think 225*225 (which is about 1/4 of max size)

I always restart a new game after 3-5 years. Hahaha. I never even launched a colonist to space in a normal playthrough.

Side note on the larger maps, you need to keep in mind that random events like drop pods and escape pods can lad a fair bit away from your base so getting these can be a issue also.
