[A17] Markers


Did you always wanted to see which raider is a sapper ? Or wield a nice weapon you urgently need ? Or even which one has a big ass rocket launcher ? Well, this mod allows you to mark them with icons. Never you will miss the sneaky sapper, nor the very skilled raider that you really want to be yours.

This does NOT require a new save.

There is a new entry in the "Architect" menu, called "Markers". Four markers are available :

  • Danger : IS THIS A ROCKET LAUNCHER ?!
  • Sapper : This dude got freakin' molotovs / grenades. Don't let him get too close.
  • Capture : Heeey, nice skills you have there. Would be a shame if someone capture you and Stockolm syndrome the crap out of you.
  • Shiny Weapon : Well well well... Looks like Locust will have a new gun.
Then you have to put the marker on your target. I know, it's a shame but you can only apply one marker per raider... For now ;).

What will come next


  • Change of the icon. I'll get rid of this, because it's really really awfull. I'll do something like the Colonist_Bar do, because, well... It's pretty, UI friendly and would allows to put multiple icons
  • Automatization of marking. Raiders will pop on the map and will have their icons depending on their "roles". If he/she has a molotov or a grenade -> Sapper. If he/she had a heavy weapon (rocket/grenade launcher, gatling or else) -> Danger.
  • Make the previous point manageable in the mod option menu.
  • Probably me again.

PS : This is my very first mod and i'm a real looser when it comes to design. So yeah, the icons are totally ugly :).
PPS : The icons come from the internet, i'll add the original author asap !

Rule 34 of Rimworld :There is a mod for that.

Cool and handy mod! The About.xml file refers this mod is for A16, by the way. (I assume it works in A17 and was a typo).

You're right, looks like I didn't push the right about.xml haha.

I'll push the right one today, you can replace the version number by 17.1557 to make it not be detected as incompatible

I'd suggest to add a button (or whatever) to remove markers, because sometimes it's easy to misplace them or just to change mind.
Think about it. Think around it. Perhaps you'll get some new good idea even if it would be completely different from my words.

This is a good Idea. But I think the Cancel Button worked.

@rambo, yup this works with CE.

@wwWraith & SpaceDorf : You're right, a cancel button would be a nice add. But tbh, i'm working on a big change to automatically put some icone as Pawn Status Icon, like raider or dangerous :).

I keep that on the hand tho !
