Dead end skills (research and mining)

These two skills, research and mining, have the same problem. You need 1 guy who is good at them, you need him for the first days even years of the colony but once their job is done (mining the base or researching all tecs) they are useless.

I dont have a solution for this, I just write this so you take it into account and maybe fix it somehow.

Mining really isn't a dead end skill .

that miner can go from one map tile to another and keep mining.

Not to forget operating the deep drillers.

And if he is not mining ..

.. it has yet to happen, that I can't keep my Pawns occupied.


Research on the other hand is allready needed in Medicine and Drug production ..
