Will higher screen resolution show more of the game?

I mostly play on My laptop and I recently thought that with a larger screen I might see more of the game on screen at one time. Is this the case? Or will only the level of detail improve?

I've seen screenshots with much higher detail than when I play, so that is clearly possible. But I'm more interested in seeing more tiles than better details.

it is not possible to zoom out any further even with higher resolutions.

the screenshots you have seen are probably made with the programm autostitch to blend in

I went from a widescreen to an ultra wide screen - 2560x1440 to 3440x1440. I see more of the map on the sides now and everything stayed at the correct aspect ratio. So changing resolution does not cause 'stretching' or anything like that. It also does not cause the top/bottom of the view to be cut off like many idiotic fps's do. RimWorld handles screen sizes/resolutions correctly
