The point of the post was a funny story.  I know how to deal with zzzt events.  Seriously half the posts in this thread are mansplaining batteries and zzzt events.

Apparently not, given there are multiple ways to prevent the scenario you described even being *possible* :p.

We are in the general game discussion so the responses seem reasonable enough.

Thing is, bringing up "mansplaining" is more than a little silly, when none of us know each others' gender .  "Pompous", perhaps, I can get behind. You're using a hammer for a screwdriver job.

Corollary:  Don't post on a "General Discussion" subforum and expect no general discussion, perhaps?
