I'm aware that the person inside the cryptosleep casket is in a state of "sleep" or suspension. But wouldn't laying in a casket for years cause severe sores that can cause problems for your pawns. Also being inactive for so long can cause your muscles to weaken which does not support the fact that pawns who emerge from cryptosleep can haul heavy rocks across the map like it's nothing. How are they even able to walk? The cryptosleep sickness does somewhat simulate the condition the person is in when they awaken such as their poor movement and consciousness but it only wears off in a few minutes. Wouldn't this "muscle fatigue" last longer than a few minutes?

I am pretty sure that you get bed sores because your skin cells don't get enough blood. They basically die from it, causing a sore. Since they are suspended and basically not operational I don't think you can get them in suspended animation. The same thing applies to the muscles. They don't atrophy because they are suspended and don't decay.

Tardigrades, inject anti freeze, all cellular processes stop, then Un freeze.
IRL this is possible in some animals like frogs, in tardigrades it works for hundreds of years and a case of thousands as well.

Why do you think, people got Cyrosleep sickness when they come out of the casket ?
Yes you can say the sickness need to be improved by lenght and other things.
But basicly it is there.

Yeah, cryptosleep is some sort of advanced suspended animation. It seems to be modeled on carbonite freezing, though the name would seem to indicate that even those who use it don't understand the principles involved.

Basically all biological processes are halted and the environment is perfectly sterile and/or also in stasis, so nothing at all happens to the person's body while they are under. Note that you can meet pawns who have spent 3,000 years in cryptosleep ajd you can wake them up with no difficulties.

Like teleporters, anti gravity, and inertial dampers,  cryosleep is the equivalent of spellcasting in Sifi.  ;D
